ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that clients are receiving the highest level of service, value, strategic and creative thinking from the agency
  • Champions digital ideas as part of a broader integrated approach to marketing
  • Deliver the account(s) vision and partners tightly with the core integrated brand team to live out the vision of the account
  • Expert at shaping and managing client expectations
  • Displays strategic confidence and sound logic in point of view formation
  • Accountable for client financials; helps manage account profitability
  • Contributes to running new business pitches
  • Promotes seamless collaboration and partnership throughout the team
  • Ensures agency resources are effectively forecast and profitably deployed
  • Manages conflict or tenuous situations with poise
  • Leads by example and fosters the professional growth and development of account team; ensures internal team harmony and satisfaction
  • Supports and rallies behind big ideas by nurturing, shaping and protecting them
  • Partners w/ group creative director to ensure quality of creative work meets high standards while delivering business

Qualifications

  • Ba/Bs degree in communications, marketing or advertising
  • Minimum of 8 years of agency account management experience
  • Strong experience managing digital initiatives as part of a larger, complex client business
  • Possess an innate curiosity, keen insight and unyielding passion for our industry
  • Ability to think big, but also translates into meaningful, insightful and actionable steps.
  • Natural ability to lead through a presence and performance that instills confidence and conviction as well as ability to keenly and clearly provide business and marketing consultation
